FAQ
This is my first photoshoot, what should I know?
That’s totally okay—most of my clients aren’t professional models! For family or couple sessions, just wear something comfortable that makes you feel good (I’ll send you some outfit tips ahead of time). I’ll guide you through natural poses and help you feel at ease so the moments feel real, not stiff. No need to stress—just focus on being yourselves and enjoying the time together. I’ll take care of capturing the beautiful memories.
Are the travel expenses included in your packages?
Travel within the local area is already included in my packages. For most nearby parks or neighborhoods, there’s no extra charge. However, if the location is more than one hour’s drive (one way) from Redmond, a small travel fee may apply to cover time and mileage. I’ll always let you know in advance if any additional cost is needed—no surprises!
Can you recommend any good locations?
Absolutely! Great photos start with the right setting, and I’m happy to help you pick one that fits your style.
If you love water views—whether it’s the ocean, a lake, or peaceful shorelines—some of my favorite spots include Discovery Park, Seward Park, Medina Beach Park, Green Lake Park, Lake Sammamish State Park, and Lake Tapps Park. These places offer a mix of natural beauty, open space, and soft lighting—perfect for relaxed, timeless portraits.
If you’re dreaming of a backdrop with mountain views, Medina Beach Park and Lake Tapps Park are great options, especially on clear days when the mountain views are out in full glory.
Every location has its own vibe—some are quiet and secluded, others more vibrant and lively. Once I know more about your vision (and maybe your kids' nap schedules or your favorite date night energy!), I’ll help recommend the best fit.
What if the weather is bad on the day of an outdoor shoot?
No problem at all! I always keep an eye on the forecast leading up to your session. If it looks like rain or strong wind, we’ll work together to reschedule for a better day at no extra cost. Your comfort and the quality of the photos matter most, so I’m flexible and happy to find a new time that works for you.
And sometimes, overcast skies actually make for beautiful, soft lighting—so a little cloud cover isn’t always a bad thing!v
